The Rho Tau Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) at Tallahassee State College is proud to announce its recent recognitions at the 2024 PTK Florida Regional Convention, where the chapter was named the #3 Best Chapter in Florida and received the prestigious Best College Project Award.
These accolades are a testament to the leadership, scholarship, and service exemplified by TSC’s PTK members and advisors.
Four Rho Tau members—Jephte Moise, Destinee Britto, Musa Tumsah, and Anyinnaya Aliche—were named to the All-Florida Academic Team, an honor awarded to top-performing students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and community service. Jephte Moise was selected as a recipient of the Oberndorf Scholarship, a national scholarship that supports students in completing their college degrees.
Chapter advisors Johnny Petit and Daniella Petit received the Best Advisor Team Award, recognizing their exceptional mentorship and support of student success. Candice Grause, Chief of Staff and Vice President for Communications, was honored with the Distinguished College Administrator Award, a national recognition awarded to college leaders who provide outstanding support to PTK chapters.
The Rho Tau Chapter also proudly maintained its status as a Five-Star Chapter for the 2024–25 academic year, the highest level of achievement within PTK’s Five Star Chapter Plan.
“These recognitions reflect the dedication, leadership, and hard work of our students,” said Professor Johnny Petit, PTK Rho Chapter Advisor. “We are incredibly proud of our chapter.”
