Tallahassee Community College’s William D. Law Learning Commons is the winner of a national award recognizing the ability to foster growth and development in education.
The National College Learning Center Association (NCLCA) awarded TCC with the Frank L. Christ Outstanding Learning Center in the two-year college category.
“It is an honor to receive this prestigious award,” said Dr. Nicholas Vick, Director of the Learning Commons and Honors Program at TCC. “Our Learning Commons staff is innovative and dedicated to student success and absolutely deserving of this recognition.”
Frank L. Christ was the founder of the Winter Institutes for Learning Assistance Professionals and was actively involved with learning assistance for over 40 years.
The NCLCA is an organization of professionals dedicated to promoting excellence among learning center personnel. The goal is to develop and maintain learning centers, programs and services to enhance student learning at the post-secondary level.
